Behind the scenes[]

  • Ginevra is the Italian form of Guinevere (from the Welsh Gwenhwyfar "fair, smooth"), as well as the Italian name for the Swiss city of Geneva.  In Arthurian legend, Guinevere was the wife of King Arthur and the adulterous lover of Lancelot.
  • Thomson is a patronym meaning "Thomas' son," Thomas coming from the Aramaic Ta'oma' "twin."
